Certificate Kobe Beef

In the city of Kobe, in Hyōgo, the world-famous Kobe beef is produced.

The animals that produce this meat are fed rice, corn, apples and even beer, and receive special care, such as massages, brushing with sake against parasites and classical music to relax. They sleep on thermal mats in winter for extra comfort.

The sale of Kobe Beef® requires strict registration and quality control. Maia’s Portuguese Steakhouse is certified by the Kobe Beef Marketing and Distribution Council, which officially recognizes it as a recommended place for meeting all the required standards.

The “Portuguese of Value” award highlights the contributions of Portuguese and Portuguese-descendants who promote Portugal’s culture and identity abroad.
